Are you having trouble accessing data from NCBI ? That's a problem due to NCBI changing their protocol from HTTP to HTTPS. You can download a patch that will fix that problem in recent versions of MATLAB.

Bioinformatics Toolbox is a Mathworks product.

The easiest way to get it is through the Add-On Explorer . If you do not already have a license then Add-On Explorer will normally offer to let you purchase.

(There are some cases that Add-On Explorer cannot handle)
