Can't open live edit mlx files MATLAB 2016b

Hi, I can't seem to open mlx live editor files. If I open an mlx file it says its loading but never loads.

This error shows up in the command window: "Error using connector.ensureServiceOn Error starting MATLAB Connector. Please check that port 31515 is available.

This error seems to be similar to the one in this bug report:

It says the bug is fixed in R2016b. Could you confirm your MATLAB release again?

Thanks Prasad Mendu, unfortunately the problem still exists. I followed the steps as per the link you provided but the bug is still there and I cant open or edit mlx live files. The matlab I am using is R2016b.

I tried the above bug patches and didn't work. However, a few weeks later I tried opening mlx files again and it worked, I'm not sure why though, but thanks anyway. Maybe it was something to do with the bug pathes but I don't know why it didn't work straight after (even after restarting pc).

This was a known bug and fixed in R2016b. If you still use older versions, there is a workaround listed in the Bug Report: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1336140
