Creating Thumbnails based on the Most Dense Parts of a Figure

Hello! I wonder if there is a way you can create a smaller thumbnail picture of a figure from the region which has the most data displayed on it? Like you have a figure where there are numerous time series plotted and thumbnail will be made on that part which has their highest density, Thanks! Dima
