I am a little confused and have searched all over the internet but cannot find any alternative to Data Acquisition Toolbox to enable me to acquire data using Simulink in 64 bit MATLAB on 64bit Windows.
Mathworks seem to have put a lot of effort in warning users that the Data Acquisition Toolbox is not available in 64bit Matlab. For some reason they seem to believe that it is quite alright to just discontinue the product without providing an alternate solution. I found this strange that we are all encouraged to use 64bit systems but them told that a lot of things will not work. We cannot really go back to 32bit system because the 32bit hardware and software systems are beign discontinued where and there.
It seems to me like Mathworks is ecouraging us to move to Labview which seem unshaken by the 32,64bit issues. I really prefer simulink and I hope to find a solution fast.
Dose anyone know how I can record signal in Simulink in an all 64bit setup; I would like to record the signal in a similar manner as I do with Data Acquisition Toolbox in 64bit Matlab?
Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions @dpb, I have emailed the guy, now waiting for a reply.
@Star Strider, I have the NI devices like the USB 6341(so no TCP/IP or traditional serial com port) that works well with Data Acquisition Toolbox but I have not managed to get it to work with Instrument Control Toolbox.

So will be interesting to hear the final resolution...is the Toolbox updated or not or is the table that get to from the sales side on upgrade/conversion just in error or out-of-date (perhaps was so initially but...)?
If you had upgraded, weren't all Toolboxes on the subject license updated at the same time? If not, that's generally an issue as TMW pretty-much manages to neuter anything from an earlier release from working with a later version, at least "out of the box".

Support for Data Acquisition using Simulink from NI hardware is available in the latest version of MATLAB & Simulink. What version of MATLAB & Simulink are you running? Is upgrading to the latest version (R2017a at this time) an option?

Thanks, it wasn't I who was really asking the question but the originator of the thread; I just had tried (apparently as he did) to follow the bread crumbs from the information pages and reached a dead end. Should've dug into the actual Simulink/Toolbox doc's directly, I guess, from the git-go, but seem like when I went that way I also previously had reached an impasse that couldn't seem to get what looked to be a dead end...anyway, these links look more promising...I suggest posting your comment as Answer to OP's question directly....hopefully he's got an answer from TMW by now anyway, but I was curious.

Thanks Vinod, I going to look into this option though it might be financially tricky, because it is not cheap to get updates of Matlab or new version.
