Rightclick menu and help boxes show up at the wrong place

Hello,

When I rightclick in my Matlab R2017a the dropdown menu always shows up at different place. E.g. when I rightclick a file on the left side. The dropdown menu shows up at the workspace on the right side (It is the correct dropdown menu for the file). Same error when I slide over an error in my code. The help appears on a wrong spot. Sometimes the spot isnt on my screen. Than it is really frustrating.

I use Debian with Gnome

Kernel Version: 3.16.0-4-amd64

Gnome Shell Version: 3.22.3

Need any more information?

Which version of Debian? Only Debian 8.x is supported on R2017b.

Are you using any kind of remote access software (VNC, SSH with X11 forwarding, etc.)?

Is MATLAB or any of the undocked windows maximized? There was a related bug in Java that may be relevant.

I am using Debian 9 (Testing) as I had the issue on Debian 8 (And stable version dont get any bugfixes). The bug happens only if I move or resize the window. If Matlab starts in full screen (Which it doesn't do always) Everything works fine. If it doesnt start in full screen and I maximize (or resize) it the menus are moved by the difference from the initial window size and the new Window size. I am not using any remote access. It seems to be the Java bug as I have OpenJDK 7 too. Would it be better to install Oracle JDK or an older version of OpenJDK?

ok. Upgraded to OpenJDK 8. Same error. Even tried Oracle Java. Didnt fix it.

Are you using Unity ?

As I mentioned: I am using Gnome. But it might be the same issue as Unity is based on Gnome.
