Set custom particles in the Matlab Montecarlo localization algorithms

Hi, I am trying to develop a custom MonteCarlo Localization scheme involving multiple robots. I start with the Monte Carlo Localization example that is provided. For my application, I need to be able to take the particles provided by Matlab's internal algorithm, do some enhancements and filtering on them before feeding them back into the AMCL algorithm. After looking at all the documentation, I can find the getParticles() function that lets me get the particles, however I can't find any documentation to set the particles in the robotics.algs.internal.MonteCarloLocalization Object. Does anyone have any ideas or clues on how this could be done?
