How do you perform nominal multi class logistic regression

I'm performing logistic regression on with 6 nominal categories "A-F". I'm using fitcecoc. Which option should I specify for 'Coding' to perform nominal classification?

Hi Jason,
You should be able to use the example 'Train Multiclass Linear Classification Model' on the documentation page for "fitcecoc": https://www.mathworks.com/help/stats/fitcecoc.html
This example uses categoricals, which by default are nominal, as input to "fitcecoc". See more about categoricals at the documentation page: http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/categorical.html
You shouldn't need to set 'Coding' to achieve nominal classification.
Good luck!

how does this compare to using multinomial logistic regression, mnrfit? The number of learners is 15 in the case fitcoec and 5 in the case of mnrfit.
