Topo maps for globe projections

Hello all,

I'm wondering if there are higher resolution topo maps for the globe projection.

I ran through the basic tutorial to fit a dome on a globe, but the topo contour was pretty lacking. Does the mapping toolbox have higher resolution maps than:

 load topo

Or are their sites on the web that have .mat files I can load in?
