How to correctly install MATLAB Engine API for Python step-by-step?

Hello everyone,
I have a question, that might appear silly, but I really need help on this one. So, I have Anaconda with Python 3.5 installed on my computer, as well as Matlab 2017a. I read the article "Install MATLAB Engine API for Python" (link: https://de.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_external/install-the-matlab-engine-for-python.html), however, I did not find it very helpful. It is very confusing for me to understand, what has to go in which folder. Maybe someone could explain me the process of installing the Matlab Engine API step-by-step given the following current situation:
1) My Anaconda (with the python.exe file) is installed in D:\PROGRAMME\Anaconda\Anaconda
2) My Matlab folder (matlabroot) is D:\PROGRAMME\Matlab2017a
What to do next?
Thank you in advance!
