Changing file directories under C:\Program Files

Hello,

I have this issue where I used an app compiler and ran the exe file. However, when opening from a desktop shortcut, it changes the main file directory to the desktop instead of getting back to where the app was installed. How can I prevent this from happening? If I forcefully change the directory, cd('C:\Program Files\...more files), I can't seem to access any other files below it because of restrictions (admin access).

Hi,

when you open the desktop shortcut properties you should be able to set the "working folder" to the folder you like. Then this should be the pwd within MATLAB compiled exe.
