I have a dataset freq_segmented which contains EEG FFT data from 14 trials from 19 channels for 101 freqencies (3-15 in tenths of a hz) stored in the field powspectrm.
When I look at the data it appears as below. Val(:,:,1) continues to val(:,:,101).
It appears that the 19 columns hold data for the 19 channel sensors, 1 value per 101 frequency portions.
How can I access a particular row, column, and frequency?
">> freq_segmented.powspctrm" returns the data as formatted in the image above.
">> freq_segmented.powspctrm{:,:,1};" returns the error Cell contents reference from a non-cell array object.
">> freq_segmented.powspctrm.val(1,1,1);" returns the error Struct contents reference from a non-struct array object.
">> freq_segmented.powspctrm(:,:,1);" returns nothing

Try basic subscript indexing:
mat = freq_segmented.powspctrm(:,:,1)
without the semi-colon (which suppresses output from being displayed).

Mark Jones'S "Answer" moved here:
Oh my, if I don't look like a rank newbie . . . which I am!
Thanks, Stephen. That cleared it up for me.
