How can I compare 2 variable comes from 2 différents process (image processing) and found the relation between them ?

1 visualización (últimos 30 días)
I'm working on image processing and I would like to segmente images. I developed 2 distinct procecess to do this segmentation, but this 2 methodes need to tune manually 2 parameters to obtain good results. let considere this 2 variables X and Y. Now I need to found relationship between this 2 variables for having an automatic process.
Kindly help me !!

Do you have any "ground truth"? An answer that you know is correct so that you can say how accurate the process is. You could do "Design of Experiments" using JMP if you need to limit the number of experiments you run, or you can simply do an exhaustive (factorial) experiment where you test all X and Y and see which is most accurate.

thanks for response, but it still not clair, ...
I segmente Remote sensing image for detecting upwelling meso-scale, with 2 methods :
Method 1- Region growing process : with an appropriate threshold that I should tune for every images (database = 20 images).
Method 2- Otsu segmentation threshold : with an appropriate number of classes that give me the best segmentation for every images.
Now, we have for every images 2 areas as result of segmentation (Method 1 & Method 2), this 2 areas Vary (shape) with irregular manner for each images. I would like to calcul or found relationship between this 2 areas or 2 thresholds (2 Methods) , like computing STD or means, ... but in the end we should fixe the threshold automatically. knowing that the upwelling have a strong fluctuations in time and space, and it's to hard to make exhaustive study.
sorry for my poor English.
I am looking forward to your response.
