I have to feature extraction and selection for an image. in case GMM itself feature extraction, selection or feature representation.

Hello @Yuvarani Sadatcharam,

LBP is a simple and grayscale invariant texture descriptor measure for classification.

MATLAB provides a function “extractLBPFeatures” to find the LBP features without coding it explicitly. We can obtain the LBP features a follows.

features = extractLBPFeatures(I)

where I is the input image.

Another function will be "graycomatrix" which also allow you to extract the texture features. It creates a gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) from image.
