Vimba -Matlab issue - GigE camera. Requesting a 2018 patch

Camera: Allied Vision Prosilica 6600. Works OK with AVT Vimba Viewer and AVT Acquire Control.
In MATLAB 2018b, camera shows up with gigecamlist, but fails to open with gigecam.
It gives an error ‘some other application maybe running the camera’. I have seen a similar report on the Matlab ask but no resolution to this issue.
I just found out that this is due to a bug in GenICam 3.0 that MathWorks implements in Matlab 2018a and b.
The GT6600 uses an XML Extension tag that GenICam 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 have fixed. MathWorks will update to this version in 2019a. For now, the option is to go to 2.4 or 2 version of GenICam (I am not sure if that also implies downgrading the Matlab version but probably not) or request Mathworks for a 2018 patch.
So I am requesting a patch from Mathworks. Hope someone will respond.
Thanks

You should file a technical support case requesting a patch.
Mathworks does not monitor this resource; the facility is primarily for MATLAB users to help other MATLAB users.

I have the same problem with the GC660. I can see it using gigecamlist, however, can not open it with gigecam. Error code:
Camera failed to open. It could be in use in another MATLAB session or another application.
Please fix!
