i have the equation xdd+2xd+2x=0, i figured out how to find the solutions for the equation but am not sure how to go from there to the closed form expression.
syms x xd xdd r t a eqm
x = a*exp(r*t)
xd = diff(x)
xdd = diff(xd)
eqm = xdd + 2*xd + 2*x
solve(eqm,r)
