Extracting data for only one season from a NetCDF file.

Hi all. I am working with a NetCDF of ocean wave characteristics for calculating the wave power off Ireland's west coast. The data has a time series of 3 years and I want to do a season by season analysis and so need to call the individual seasons from the file (eg. the March, April and May data for Spring, the June, July and August data for summer etc.). Does anyone have experience with this?

Read about ncread. FIrst read the time data.......pick the required time using datevec / datetime/ datestr. Once you have indices of these...pick only these indices data using ncread.
