EEG data recorded in arduino filtering in matlab

I have recorded EEG data in arduino now I want to apply notch filter to the data in matlab. I want to know how to interface matlab with arduino such that I can read serail monitor data in matlab.

Interfacing MATLAB and arduino through a serial link is straightforward. You can create a serial port object and use fscanf and fprintf functions to read/write data. This documentation link should help you get started.
