Beam Loading, Displacement, 3D plots, Color Spectrum, Stress and Strain

Hi all

This is a shot in the dark but i thought i would ask.

I wanted to create an app in App Designer that would allow a user to enter the dimensions of a beam, what the beam was made from (steel, wood etc), its loading and the load bearing points etc.

I wanted Matlab to then output a plot that shows all the stresses of the beam. An example would be:-

As i am new to matlab i wanted to get some feedback from the community to see if this was even viable?

Any thoughts?

Hi Mohammad,

Perhaps you could get started with our examples on doing Finite Element Analysis using Partial Differential Equation toolbox. The following document shows a few examples which could be used as a starting point.

The example named 'Deflection Analysis of a Bracket' may be the most relevent for you.
