Smart grid simulation problems

First , what is the difference between Simpower systems and Simscape Electrical ?

second , we trying to control our smart grid hardware from (LN company) by using matlab but we couldn't link between hardware and software ( Simpower system blocks)

then how can we link between software and hardware?

and could we do it by using Simpower system blocks or it can be done with only Simscape Electrical blocks ?
