How to remove the noise in image?

Hello!!
I have been trying to do retinal blood vessel segmentation and have got an output which is very much good but is containing noise in it.Can anyone help me how to remove the noise in this image.I have tried medfilt2 but that's of no use.

Apply morphological image processing after segmenation. Like remove blobs smaller than..
You can use bwareaopen with certain thresholds.
