What is the difference between a scalogram and scattergram?

I am working on a sound event detection problem, and one of my ideas is to use features from wavelet transform. However, there are several functions in MATLAB to obtain the wavelet transform (cwt, featureMatrix etc.). In the documentation pages of these functions, I came across scalograms and scattergrams. While I was aware of scalograms, I could not really find what is a scattergram and how is it different from a scalogram. It would be nice if someone can explain!
