extracting the overlapping area from a shape file using a grid vector of latitude and longitude

Hello Dears,
I have a grid cells of location ( latitude and longitude ) for a certain area. The task i wanted to do is to calculate all gris areas overlapping with in the watershed. Assume the grid is square so it would be so easy to calculate the area, but some the areas are irregualr due to the shape of the watershed.
So i have so many square and irrgular overlapping pixes to be calculated. I kindly appreciate some one with smart idea to figure this out.

PLease attach the data, your code. I want to see something. Can you show?
ok Darova,
Here under i attached three files,
  1. the first one is location shape file of grid cells, but note that these points are located at the center of grid
  2. secondly i attached the shape file of a catchment which falls with in the grids
  3. and lastly you can find picture of grid and catchement overlapping in excel file whichis manually done.
So the idea is to calculate ratio of area of catchment falling with in the grid per pixel.
But the attachment is failing due to unsupported .rar format any way i attached in the picture format
Thank you for the assistance
This is how the data your attached looks like
The image is not clear if you send me your e-mail i will send you zipped files of all
I won't do that. I don't trust you
