How to change certifcates for imread(url) ?

By default imread appears to send some canned certificates located in <root>/sys/certificates/ca/. These are causing me trouble, and for what I'm doing I don't need certs. When I use webread(), I can create a weboptions object/structure, clear the CertificateFilename field and stuff works. With imread, how can I accomplish the same effect?
