MEX function 'Data_mex.mexw64' is not recognized as a MATLAB Coder MEX function.

I ve tried

mex -setup

but not working. Only returns

MEX configured to use 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2017' for C++ language compilation.

Please help.

I've met the same problem, the Coder tool box returns

MEX function 'xxxxxx_mex.mexw64' is not recognized as a MATLAB Coder MEX function

, which can led to build-failure.

This problem may due to the wrong file path, you should check the file path for two things: first, no special characters; then, whether the path length is too long.
