MathWorks has two offerings of MATLAB Web App Server:

• A standalone MATLAB Web App Server product. (Overview)
• A development version of MATLAB Web App Server included in MATLAB Compiler.

For the product version of MATLAB Web App Server:

The product version of MATLAB Web App Server can be installed via the MATLAB installer. Note that setup of this product will require a License Manager with a MATLAB Web App Server license hosted on it.

• If the development version is already installed on your server machine:

For the development version of MATLAB Web App Server: 

The development version of MATLAB Web App Server can be installed using the installer included in the program files of your MATLAB (with MATLAB Compiler) installation. Refer to the following documentation for instructions:

Note that as of R2024b, only the development version of MATLAB Web App Server is natively supported on Apple Silicon.
