I've installed 2020a and it also crashes when I try to run scripts. Even one line scripts just to see if it would crash. Version 2019b is still installed and seems to run fine.

MATLAB might have crashed due to permission issues, you can see permission denied message just before it crashed. By fixing the permissions, you can solve this issue.

I don't see any type of message; it just shuts down. I've uninstalled it. It was running up until an update for 2020a came out then it would just crash whenever I tried to run a script.
2019b is still installed and running fine. I'll try reinstalling 2020a again when I get a chance.

I solved. I'd accidentally delete the environment variable about Matlab preferences. I found how to set the MATLAB_PREFDIR variable and launched again matlab. Thanks God it works
