Parameter Estimation which Method

Hello,

I am trying to fit a model to experiment data with the Parameter Estimation Tool in Simulink. Unfortunately I havent found the right method yet. I have a signal with random steps, but I dont want to fit the area between the experiment data and the multi steps, I just want to fit the offset of these lines, because the steps have different length and therefor a small offset with a long period means a bigger mistake than a big offset and a very small period. But not for my problem. Does anyone know which method I could use?
