Greetings! I am new to the Motor Control Blockset in Simulink. I believe it is a fantastic tool to start learning algorithms for motor control tasks, from beginner routines up to advanced ones. I am currently selecting my target hardware. For the processing, I'll go with the LAUNCHXL F28379D launchpad. However, for the power stage, I'm still deciding between two possibilities:
- BOOSTXL DRV8305
- BOOSTXL DRV8323
The former one is used practically in all the Mathworks examples, but is less capable than the latter one in terms of voltage. Hence, I would prefer to go with the BOOSTXL DRV8323. However, I'm still not sure, as this module is used in very few basic tasks. Is it just a matter of pinout and remapping functionalities to the right ports? Does the BOOSTXL DRV8305 have a special feature that the BOOSTXL DRV8323 doesn't?
Thanks!

Hi Renato,
You are right, BoostXL-DRV8323 is better than BoostXL-DRV8305. There is no such technical reason for our support of BoostXL DRV8305, except the fact that it was released prior to BoostXL DRV8323 by Texas Instruments. You may have technical comparison on Texas Instrument's website. However, at present, Motor Control Blockset supports BoostXL DRV8305 for majority of examples.
We do have an example that works with DRV8323, but this is very basic example - Open Loop Control.
See more details here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/mcb/gs/run-three-phase-AC-motors-open-loop-control-calibrate-adc-offset.html
If you order DRV8323, you'd have to work-around with ADC calibration, ADC/PWM interfacing and other aspects related to BoostXL-DRV8323. Feel free to write to us, if you face any issues related to the algorithm.
Thanks for bringing this to our notice, we appreciate this and we'll be supporting BoostXL-DRV8323 in future release.

Hello, Sir. I have a similar problem and would like to ask you about it.
This is my question link.
