Is there anyway to change the Matlab user interface back to the way it was before R2012b?

Hello,
Is there any way to do this? The new user interface is not that convenient, and many people at my work don't like it. In fact, my boss said that he has stopped using Matlab.
One issue is that people are having to relearn how to use Matlab for not much gain. This is impacting progress at work.
One solution would be to load up an older version of Matlab, but it would be nice to be up to date with the current code.
Best regards,
Bill Rooker

You can always launch MATLAB with the -nodesktop option and go back to the CLI.

Hi, When I get the new update I was stoned by the menu ribbons. I hate the new childish Matlab user interface, It takes more time to click anything, because in ribbons user have to read text in horizontal and vertical directions.
Now I have to use R2012 version and do not plan to buy another update All the best, Lukasz

Hi Bill,
Please contact tech support with the specific things you do not like so that we can try to make the desktop more amenable to you in the future.
There is no way to revert to the legacy desktop.

Here are specific things:
- the ribbon wastes lots of space. I want that space unwasted.
- the previous menus were much better at allowing me to find the functions and shortcuts I wanted. I want those menu choices back.
