Matlab App GUI [ System Stability]

I have to Make an app (MATLAB) to identify the signal is stable or not
Criteria :
1. Input 1-Signal for a system- y(t)
2. Button- Stable/Non-stable
3. Plot of signal
4. Display Stable or unstable
I don't know how to start.
Can anyone help me with the same ?

How are you going to input signal? As numbers?
