When an inverter feeds a PMSM motor, transforming the DC-link voltage in AC voltage, many dubt rise up in my mind:
  • do I have enought voltage to increase the speed?
  • what is the voltage coming in the modulator input and what is the real voltage in the motor due the harmonic components?
Is there a good example of this question to study and get more Know how?
Thanks

Hi Federico
Try the following example https://se.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sps/ug/three-phase-pmsm-drive.html
Increase the target speed or load torque. Then, you shall see that the motor gets closer to its maximal capacity. If you request more power than admissible, you will likely end in the field weakening boundary.
Good luck / Juan
