This feature was removed in Simulink R2019b onwards and may be introduced in future versions in a more convenient way.

I for one would like to see this returned. Tabs get opened without asking (for example when clicking on a searched-for block). I normally end up with over a dozen tabs open. Pre 2019 was so easy on the File menu. What's more annoying is that the Simulink R2020 release notes (where it shows what the old menu bar used to do and the new Toolstrip Equivalents, File Close isn't even mentioned. If it just said that it wasn't available it would save me half an hour searching for a solution before I found this.
Thanks

Can I second Chris Slacks sentiments
The tool strip is meant to ease useability - removing this function does not.
It is rare for MathWorks to remove functionality, and galling when something useful is removed.
Can a customer linked useability geck (Airbus & Vertical Aerospace) be opened to request re-instigating this feature please?
