plot 3d graph

Hi I am trying to plot a graph with a matrix. I have a 10 by 10 diagonal matrix and I am trying to plot a 3d graph. Its base should be a flat square grid and the values on diagonal elements should be projected upwards. like a flat plane and a diagonal wall with pointy top in middle, kind of like a sail. just like this top fin but diagonally. Could someone help me with the code? In my matrix, all diagonal elements are around 50000 and all other values are 0.

Why did you chose MATLAB for this? Does your data look like the attched pciture when you plot?

I want the plot to look like the fin of this fish on a flat grid. The diagonal values are large and should stand upwards like the fin of the fish.
