Area command not properly clipping while zooming with GUIDE

When using GUIDE's built-in zoom tool the the area plot is not properly clipping. Images have been uploaded at the imgur link below showing both the zoomed and unzoomed results.

I have tried commanding the clipping property to 'on' but it does not seem to be working.

I excluded full code for brevity's sake but a mock code can be created to exemplify this occurrence if needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
