I'm trying to create a set of 2D points and then extrude it along a vector to have a 3D shape. I don't know how to write my own extrude function. I need to calculate the distance of a single point to the faces of the shape after extrusion. I'd be happy if you could help me.
Thank you!

You can directly use the extrude function in the MATLAB PDE toolbox. Further if you want to calculate the distance of a single point to the face of the shape in the extrusion you can use the distance formulae as the vertices of the extruded geometry can be found in the extruded model object, in the property vertices.
