How to create an cell array

I was wondering how do I go about creating an cell array from grade.txt file in excel to matlab. It wants me to use the grades from my homework and test and create an cell array with them. I am having trouble grasping how to do this.

a=[1 2 3 4]
Your_cell_aray=num2cell(a)

You can use xlsread, and than put the data into a cell array like Azzi showed.
