Modelling a Pressure Reducing Valve

Hello comunity,
I am currently working on my master's thesis consisting in modelling a pressure reducing valve on simhydraulics.
I know that a block model is already provided but I'm interested in the detail of it, the different parameters of the valve and pilot loop so I need to model it from scratch.
The equations of dynamics applied to the main and pilot valve and the flow through the different elements have been obtained already (Ulanicki and Prescott, 2003) but I'm struggling when it comes to "translating" them into simhydraulics
In fact, as all parameters are related to other ones in different equations, I am not able to obtain a single "Outlet Pressure" depending on all other input factors. Or maybe I can but I am just missing the obvious.
I had never used simhydraulics nor simulink prior to this project, so I might miss important features that could help make things easier.

I'm trying to do something very similar for my undergraduate thesis and have been stuck on a model that doesn't work for weeks now. How did you end up going with this? Could you provide some advice? Happy to talk on here or over email (etc.).

If you have access to Simscape Fluids add-on library, a pressure reducing valve block is available in the Hydraulic domain since R2016a and in the newer Isothermal Liquid domain (recommended) since R2020a.

If Simscape Fluids is not available, you can try something like this:
The measured pressure at B port will be passed to a look-up table, which determine if the orifice should open or close. The nature of the lookup table needs to correspond to the set pressure and opening range.
