which sym -all
If Symbolic Math Toolbox is installed, it returns MATLAB_ROOT\toolbox\symbolic\symbolic\@sym\sym.m as of R2021a.

No I am using matlab R2020a. I cannot find this option

In R2020a, sym points toolbox\symbolic\symbolic\@sym\sym.m, too.
Please confirm you have installed Symbolic Math Toolbox by executing ver command.
ver
If the toolbox is installed, you will find "Symbolic Math Toolbox" in the ver result.
If not, you need to install the toolbox.
