Emacs keybindings in live editor

keybindings don't work despite being in "emacs default", for the live editor. Why? why not? Is the feature not even available for the live editor?

I would also like emacs keybindings in the live editor. For consistency, the keybindings set in the main preferences for the MATLAB window should also be set in the live editor, otherwise switching windows becomes very problematic (eg. Ctrl-a followed by any character replaces everything by the single character).

The issue of 'emacs default' keybindings not working in Live Editor has been fixed in the R2025a release. I recommend upgrading MATLAB to the latest version.
Hope this helps!
