Netcdf - Converting x,y gridded data (lambert-equal area) to cartesian coordinates

Hi all.

I have some netcdf files with ice sheet thickness. The grid is Lambert equal Area I believe, (stereographic). I need to convert my thickness (time, x, y) to (time, lat, lon). I have information regarding False easting, false northing, center latitude, and center longitude, which may be helpful for the conversion.

Essentially I will want to contour the thickness variable, and set my axesm. Thank you in advance.

Before you convert northings and eastings you should be absolutely sure about the projection, but this function may help.
