Nested Group in Mixed Effect Model

Hi all, can I use matlab nlmefit or nlmefitsa to fit dataset to a nonlinear model ? But this time, I have a nested group within group. Because in the documentation page of nlmefit and nlmefitsa, I can't see anything on this nested group.
