    Syntax

    desktop
    tf = desktop("inuse")

    Description

    desktop starts the MATLAB® desktop.

    tf = desktop("inuse") returns whether the MATLAB desktop is currently open and in use. (since R2026b)

    Output Arguments

    Whether the MATLAB desktop is in use, returned as logical 1 or 0. tf is logical 1 if MATLAB is running with the desktop open and in use. tf is logical 0 if MATLAB is running without the desktop.
