issues about app design

hello, i have a following problem, the edit area of the code view seems frozened, it only force me to edit within the area which marked with white background, when i want edit to other area, no any respond, how to handle this.

There is typo error in the function for DropDown. Missing a 'o' in the function definition

hi VBBV, thanks for your answer. i know why this will happen, seems the callback function related to the cutomer added object can be edited, the rest part is system frame code, they can not changed.

ok, @wenchao zhang, It seems you have added a function for ValueChangedFcn property for your GUI component i.e. dropdown. You can only edit it the Design Mode. Switch to that mode and select the GUI component and/or right click the item and modify the name., Then it will allow you to edit the callback function name. Ensure that callback name matches exactly in the app.

This is by design in App Designer. App Designer creates your app as a MATLAB class viewable in Code View where you can add properties and method functions but you cannot change the gray sections directly from within Code View.

You can change callback function names that are in the gray sections. In Code View, go to Code Browser (left panel) > Callbacks tabs, and right-click on the callback function name, then select "Rename".

From the design view, right click on the "uifigure" name in the right pannel Component Browser and select "rename".
